Back before Ford announced it was producing a new version of the aluminum block of its supercharged V8 to 5.4 liters for the GT500 in 2011, speculation ran rampant that the new 5.0-liter V8 Coyote could receive treatment forced fed. At the time, Ford declined to comment, but even with the introduction of the lighter 5.4-liter, speculation has never disappeared.
